1950s SMALL TOWN LIFE/Untitled poem

Untitled Poem

Reason departs
And Truth assumes
  the face of madness
Anti-truths scurry like
   vermin, anything ugly
And even the saner of
    the masses
Are caught by it.
Because they are too weak
    to stand alone
And Truth is not a very strong support.
